Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs – Slow Cooker

- 3 lbs1.5 kgCanadian Pork Side Ribs
- 2 cups500 mLbrown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup50 mLall purpose flour
- 14 oz398 mLcan pineapple tidbits in juice, undrained
- 2 Tbsp25 mLEACH soy sauce and ketchup
- 1/2 cup125 mLwhite vinegar
- 11clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp5 mLgrated fresh ginger
Directions
Cut ribs into 2 to 3 rib sections. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat and stir over medium-high heat until boiling and thickened. Layer ribs in a slow cooker, spooning sauce over each layer. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 – 12 hours or on HIGH for 5 – 6 hours until ribs are very tender. (To thicken the sauce after removing the ribs, pour the juice into a saucepan. Add 2 Tbsp/25 mL cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup/50 mL water, then bring to a boil.)
