45-55 min

    • 4 lbs
      2 kg
Canadian Pork Back or Side Ribs
    • 1 Tbsp
      15 mL
    • 1 cup
      250 mL
      chopped onions
    • 2 Tbsp
      25 mL
      chopped jalapeno pepper
    • 2
      cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 cup
      250 mL
      chili sauce
    • 2/3 cup
      150 mL
    • 1-2 tsp
      5-10 mL
      hot pepper sauce

Cut ribs into serving portions. Place ribs in a shallow pan and roast, uncovered for 30 minutes at 300ºF (150°C). (Or simmer ribs in water just to cover for 30 minutes.) Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, peppers and garlic and cook until onions are tender. Add chili sauce, honey and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Preheat barbecue on high; reduce heat to medium-low. Place ribs on lightly oiled grilll; close barbecue cover and grill ribs 15 to 25 minutes, brushing frequently with sauce. Heat remaining sauce to a boil. Serve with ribs.
