Honey and Chili Ribs

- 4 lbs2 kgCanadian Pork Back or Side Ribs
- 1 Tbsp15 mLbutter
- 1 cup250 mLchopped onions
- 2 Tbsp25 mLchopped jalapeno pepper
- 22cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup250 mLchili sauce
- 2/3 cup150 mLhoney
- 1-2 tsp5-10 mLhot pepper sauce
Directions
Cut ribs into serving portions. Place ribs in a shallow pan and roast, uncovered for 30 minutes at 300ºF (150°C). (Or simmer ribs in water just to cover for 30 minutes.) Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, peppers and garlic and cook until onions are tender. Add chili sauce, honey and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Preheat barbecue on high; reduce heat to medium-low. Place ribs on lightly oiled grilll; close barbecue cover and grill ribs 15 to 25 minutes, brushing frequently with sauce. Heat remaining sauce to a boil. Serve with ribs.
