What is Your Healthy Weight?

The answer isn't simple. Your own healthy weight is one that's right for you. It may be quite different from someone else's weight, even if he or she is the same height, gender and age as you are.

A range of healthy weights is used today for both men and women. The higher your weight is above the range the greater your risk for weight-related health problems. You may also risk health problems if your weight is below the expected range.

Body weight alone does not determine whether your weight is a healthy one. Consider the location and amount of body fat versus lean muscle you carry as well.
