Ingredients
1 lb (0.5kg) lean ground Canadian Pork
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/4 cup (50mL) fine dry bread crumbs
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 tsp (2mL) Each dried thyme, oregano
1/4 tsp (1mL) ground cumin
1 tsp (5mL) grated lemon rind
1/2 tsp (2mL) salt
4-6 kaiser or hamburger buns
Cooking Instructions
Combine ground pork with all ingredients (except the buns). Mix gently to blend and shape into 4-6 patties. Preheat barbecue on high. Reduce heat to medium. Grill burgers 5-10 minutes per side or until no pink remains. Always cook ground pork to well done. Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite condiments.
