      Canadian Pork Rib Country Style
    • 3 Tbsp
      45 mL
      canola oil
    • 1/2 cup
      125 mL
      EACH maple syrup and apple cider vinegar
    • 2 Tbsp
      25 mL
      molasses
    • 1/4 cup
      50 mL
      soy sauce
    • 3 Tbsp
      45 mL
      prepared mustard

Directions

Place ribs in a heavy skillet or Dutch oven. Whisk remaining ingredients together, and pour around meat. Bring to a boil, cover, and place in a pre-heated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 45 minutes, turning once during cooking. Remove ribs and let stand, covered, for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, bring the braising liquid to a rolling boil for 3 minutes, or until it begins to thicken. Preheat barbecue on high; reduce heat to medium. Slice meat between the ribs; place on lightly oiled. Grill over a medium heat, turning and basting frequently with braising liquid, for 10 minutes. Any left over braising liquid can be refrigerated, covered, for up to a week and used as a barbecue sauce.
