4 - 6 min

    • 3/4 lb
      350 g
cooked Canadian Pork Roast, thinly sliced
    • 1 Tbsp
      15 mL
      olive oil
    • 1
      small clove garlic, minced
    • 8
      slices low-fat Monterey Jack cheese
    • 4
      Kaiser rolls or crusty baguettes
    • 2 Tbsp
      25 mL
      Dijon or honey mustard
    • 2
      tomatoes, sliced
    • 8
      fresh basil leaves
    • freshly ground black pepper

Preheat barbecue on high; reduce heat to medium. Wrap sliced pork in a foil packet and warm on the barbecue. Combine olive oil and minced garlic. Thinly slice cheese. Slice rolls horizontally; grill, cut side down, until just toasted, 2 to 3 minutes. Turn cut side up; spread bottom halves with mustard and top each with 2 slices cheese. Grill 2 to 3 minutes or until grill marks start to appear on bread and cheese begins to melt. Place bottom halves on serving plates; cover with slices of warm pork and sliced tomatoes. Drizzle with garlic oil; top with basil leaves and sprinkle with freshly ground pepper; cover with top halves of rolls.
