Grilled Bratwurst with Beer-Mustard MarinadeMay 2, 2011
- 6-86-8fresh Canadian Bratwurst Sausages
- 1 cup250 mLbeer*
- 1/4 cup50 mLgrainy mustard
- 3 Tbsp45 mLmolasses
- 2 tsp10 mL
- 1/2 tsp2 mLnutmeg
- 1/4 tsp1 mLground cloves
Prick sausages with a fork once or twice and place in a resealable plastic bag. Combine remaining ingredients for marinade. Pour marinade over pork. Seal bag and marinate in the refrigerator at least 8 hours, turning occasionally. Remove meat from marinade. Preheat barbecue on high; reduce heat to medium-low. Grill bratwurst on a lightly oiled grill, turning frequently, and brushing with marinade, for about 20-25 minutes. Serve on mini-sub buns with your favorite toppings.
Note: Fresh sausage should always be cooked to well done.
