Apricot Sauced Ribs

  • Canadian Pork Back or Side Ribs
  • can undrained apricot halves
  • Dijon mustard
  • lemon juice
  • ketchup
  • ground ginger


If using back ribs, lift and peel the skin from the back of each rack of back ribs. Cut ribs into serving sizes. Place ribs in a shallow pan and roast uncovered at 300°F (150°C) (or simmer in water just to cover) for 30 minutes. Preheat barbecue on high; reduce heat to low. Drain ribs and place on lightly oiled grill. Close barbecue cover and grill, turning occasionally, for 6 to 7 minutes, turning often. Meanwhile, in a blender, mix remaining ingredients together. Brush ribs generously with sauce and continue to cook for another 30 minutes, basting and turning often.
